Carnegie Mainstreet have organised an exciting event to celebrate the 2018 Lunar New Year for their businesses and the community on Saturday 24th February from 5.30 until 8.00pm. This event will be held in the Carnegie Library forecourt and throughout restaurants and cafes.
Wandering entertainment will include fun magicians such as the Great Gizmo and Anthony de Magi wandering throughout restaurants in Koornang Road creating great magic with diners. Joining them will be our lovely
Asian hostesses giving away fortune cookies.
Colourful Chinese Lions, Buddha and drums will perform after the
official opening and then parade down Koornang Road. We have one of the longest Dragon dance, being 30 metres long, performing in the Library forecourt and then down Koornang Road as a finale to the event.
The main event will be held in the Library forecourt area from 5.30pm to 8.00pm.
